T-SQL Tuesday #154 Invitation – SQL Server 2022

Introduction

This month’s T-SQL Tuesday is devoted to SQL Server 2022, which reached RC0 status on August 23rd, 2022. SQL Server 2022 is scheduled to release “before the end of CY2022”. That means it is coming sooner than you might think. This is the post for T-SQL Tuesday #154 Invitation – SQL Server 2022.

T-SQL Tuesday #154 – SQL Server 2022

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to write about what you have been doing (if anything) with SQL Server 2022. Maybe you have been doing a lot of testing with the public CTP builds and now RC0. Perhaps you have not had the time (or interest) in doing any SQL Server 2022 testing or research. Whatever you have been doing, now is your chance to talk about it, good or bad.

Maybe you can’t wait for SQL Server 2022 to be released, or perhaps you couldn’t care less about it. I would love to hear what your experience has been and what your opinions are about this release. If SQL Server 2022 is not on your future roadmap, please tell me why.

Just in case you haven’t heard much about SQL Server 2022, here are a few links from Microsoft.

The Rules

  1. Your post must be published on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. It counts as long as it’s still Tuesday anywhere in the world.
  2. Include the T-SQL Tuesday Logo and make it link to this invitation post.
  3. Ping backs should work, but to be sure, add a comment to this post with a link to your own post so I know where to find it.
  4. Tweet about your post using the #tsql2sday hashtag
  5. I will do a recap/summary of all of the eligible posts the week after the deadline
  6. If you are doing any NDA work with Microsoft, don’t talk about that!

Do You Want to Host a Future T-SQL Tuesday?

If you would like to host a T-SQL Tuesday, you can read the rules on the T-SQL Tuesday site and ask Steve Jones if you can host. If you have an idea for a future T-SQL Tuesday topic, you can contact Steve Jones.
